TTT

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Every week they post a new top ten list and everyone is welcome to join.

Well hello! Back with the TTT meme and a list of books that will make you laugh. I used to not read humor books, but lately I’ve enjoyed a lot of books that have funny characters that make snarky and humoristic comments or have a funny sense to them, so let’s take a look.

10booksthatwillmakeyoulaugh

A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby

This book is a favorite of mine mostly because it combines so many elements including comedy relief.

“The fuck?” he said.
“The fuck?” said Jess. “The fuck what?”
“It’s an American abbreviation,” said Martin. “ «The fuck?» means «What the fuck?» In America, they’re so busy that they don’t have time to say the «what».”

Play (Stage Dive #2) by Kylie Scott

Hands down one of the funniest  books I’ve read!

“Pumpkin, stop rubbing your ass against me. We gotta go! I don’t have time to do you now. Prioritize, woman.”

Lead (Stage Dive #3) by Kylie Scott

Not as funny as Play but the book has some pretty funny moments in the midst of awkwardness and sarcastic.

“I’m healthy. I eat fruit.”
“In pie doesn’t count.”

Us (Him #2) by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy

Even though Wes and Jamie are funny guys, this book had Blake. Blake was the obnoxiously non private, loud as hell, knows no boundaries friend and it was awesome!

“Probably shouldna opened all those drawers,” Blake carries on, rubbing his chin. “Ya can’t unsee some of those toys. But everybody has to have his own kinda fun.”

The Martian by Andy Weir

I haven’t read the book but the movie was enough to make laugh till I had tears in my eyes, and The Martian is in every humor list, some of the GR quotes are hilarious and they were in the movie too, so of course this book is in and on my TBR!

“Maybe I’ll post a consumer review. “Brought product to surface of Mars. It stopped working. 0/10.”

Percy Jackson and the Olympians series

Percy is just a kid when he finds himself in the oddest of situations so of course his reactions are priceless

“Zeus will destroy you!’ she promised. ‘Hades will have your soul!’
‘Braccas meas vescimini!’ I yelled
I wasn’t sure where the Latin came from. I think it meant ‘Eat my pants!”

Pucked series by Helena Hunting

This series is amazing! So damn funny, probably the funnies on this list. It’s over the top, no filter, obnoxiously hilarious and I love it.

“Buck is mammoth, like a yeti. A huge, perverted, hairy whore of a yeti. According to the sportscasters, Buck’s an excellent hockey player. I’d agree, based on his yearly salary alone. No one gets that much money for sucking, not even extremely skilled prostitutes.”

The Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy

Yes, I love this series because it genuinely makes me feel good when I read it no matter how many times I’ve re-read it, it always makes me laugh! So you get extra quotes…

“Fine. How about we go down on each other instead?”
“How about you leave?”
“Counter offer—I stay and we dry hump.”

“Garrett: Allie’s gonna crash in my room.
Garrett: Your dick can stay in your room.”

“For the love of God, I’m not tutoring you.”
“Sure you are.” I shrug. “I just need to figure out what you want in return.”
“I want to not tutor you. That’s what I want.”

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

Weasleys. Nuff said.

“Oh, get out of the way, Percy,” said Fred. “Harry’s in a hurry.”
“Yeah, he’s off to the Chamber of Secrets for a cup of tea with his fanged servant,” said George, chortling.”

Tangled by Emma Chase

Now, I didn’t like this book, it was too funny for me, but perfect for this list and I have to mention it. So there.

“God. I may end up being the first man in history capable of masturbating without touching himself. Look, Mom—no hands.”

There you have it! Do you have books that make you laugh? ♥

  1. You have some fantastic books on your list!!! I really need to read the Stage Dive series, I hear so much good stuff about them!!!

But can I just say yes on Us and Blake? OMG, so fantastic. And I definitely agree with The Off-Campus series (though I’ve only read the first two so far), and Tangled. Great choices!!

    1. The Stage Dive series is amazing, you should definitely read it and as for Us and the Off-Campus series, I love everything Elle Kennedy writes, she’s amazing! (The first one is my favorite because Garrett and Hannah ♥)

  2. The Weasley twins are two of the funniest characters I’ve ever come across, I can’t believe I forgot to add them to my list. And Percy Jackson is so much fun – there is no series that’s funnier than it. 😀 Great list!
