Shen has proven that she can write an asshole I can love and a heroine I can root for.
I’ve read a few books from the author and they always pull me in and I get lost in them no matter the book. This was underwhelming at best.

Defy was more than a teacher-student romance, Jamie and Melody are explosive together and the story despite it being less than 100 pages was enough to hook me in and make me love these two.
A Veil of Vines is a book you will read on a quiet Sunday morning; there’s a lot of wine and I loved the details behind the making of it, there’s a lot of family drama and family secrets and a love that is described as epic but tried too hard to convince me of it.
I just love the writing of this series, so engaging, so fast but at the same time detailed and it never let you want to put the book down.
I laughed out loud, I swooned so much and I had the best time reading this, really, what more can you ask for?
It was a nice book to get us back into Twitch and make us miss him even more.
As always Frazier delivers an amazing book that is so hard to put down even for a second despite the hard to read scenes.
