At the heart of this book there’s a sweet story of two men falling for each other in the midst of pain and devastation.
This was another level of awesomeness! Lots of laughter, a lot of heartbreak and just FEELINGS ALL OVER. SO MANY FEELINGS!
I love the way Helen Hunting writes, her characters are always funny and over the top and I love them for that!
It was addictive and the crime at the heart of it is just enough of a distraction to keep you hooked despite the cheesy soap opera drama it doesn’t shy away from.
Kudos to Kennedy Ryan for writing such a beautiful story with these powerful messages and bringing us Bristol and Grip. A must read.
I feel like I should personally thank the author for introducing me to Grip and Bristol because I freaking adore them. I LOVED THEM SFM!
Unlike The Winter King, The Sea King takes a lot of time to put the two main characters together which would have been a nice build up to the romance if it had gone smoothly.
It’s not for everyone but it’s done so flawlessly, it’s literally calling you to read it and be heartbroken.
Each chapter felt like a slap in the face and it made me feel pretty tiny. Dear Martin is one of those books you can’t and shouldn’t ignore. Powerful debut.
The story takes its sweet time, it creates the perfect narration and it brings this odd city to life with the details and the amazing writing.
