“You’re the best mistake I’ve ever made.”
What happens when your best friend goes through a nasty break up? Naturally, you call the ex boyfriend and let all the anguish and the hurt from your husband asking for a divorce just hours before out. But nothing goes as planned so when you discover you’ve dialed the wrong number, you find yourself talking to a complete stranger whom you’ve just said some pretty awful things.
“Oh my God. I am so, so sorry. This… was clearly a call not meant for you. I’m sure you’re not a douchebag tool.”
“Who sucks on dildos and gets fucked by his wife?”
But you’re also lucky because said stranger is an adorable guy that find this mix up utterly hilarious. And then you have an unknown number on your phone which you find yourself using more than you should – if at all.
Four Letter Word is an utterly fascinating and hilarious book with J. Daniels’ humor and a lot of dirty talk and steamy scenes.
Sydney’s marriage just came to an end when her husband out of the blue asks for a divorce, so she packs her bags and goes to her best friend for a shoulder to cry on. When she finds said best friend already crying over her boyfriend who turned out to be married, she dials up and unleashes… all of it. Brian is the unlucky guy on the receiving end of the unleashing but he’s all too happy to keep her on the line and just laugh his ass off. What starts out of a mistake slowly becomes more when they keep texting one another.
The story takes it’s time to develop and for the two to finally meet and when it happens… explosive! J. Daniels knows how to write a good romance book and really connect the characters and build a solid story. It did include some all-too-convenient plot pieces and there was something at the end that was utterly unnecessary; this is not my first book of the author and I really want her female characters to be a bit more mature when it comes to certain things. Overall, I already have the next one on my Kindle and I can’t wait to start!
