They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?

Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen?

Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their relationship.

Jamie has waited a long time for answers, but walks away with only more questions—can one night of sex ruin a friendship? If not, how about six more weeks of it? When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend…and a big one to learn about himself.

5 huge stars!

OMG THIS BOOK! I can’t even describe the feels while reading this and the awesomeness that is the writing! Jamie & Wes.. ♥

“Life is just a little brighter, a little louder wherever Wes is.”

Let me start by saying I just loved them so much, SO FREAKING MUCH!

This is not my first M/M story but it is most certainly one of my favorite and if you’re thinking about reading MM this is a great story to start! I loved Elle Kennedy’s The Deal so much (SERIOUSLY WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ELLE?) that I hoped Him would be half as good. It blew my mind! Seriously, this story was one of the very few that surprised me with how much I loved it this year!

Ryan “Wes” Wesley has been in love with his best friend Jamie since forever. Four years ago, lots of alcohol and a bet, made things super weird between the two and they haven’t spoken since. Until their college teams set to face off at the national championship and they have to spend some time together and later on when they both are set to coach! All it takes is one look and Ryan’s feelings are ever present.

“Jamie Canning was my first crush and my first love. But he was never mine to have.”

Jamie is still trying to figure out what happened that night that made Ryan stop talking to him. Despite their drunken bet, Jamie is still very much dating – or just sleeping – with lots of girls. Yet, with Ryan, there’s another kind of connection that he doesn’t mind having. I liked how despite Ryan’s open feelings throughout the book, Jamie doesn’t really come to terms with it until later.

“I’m attracted to women, no doubt about it
I’m also attracted to men, apparently. Wonderful.
Complicated fellow, my dick.”

This is definitely not a smut book, it’s deep, and raw and so very real, it takes the reader through every stage of their lives and we’re shown their emotional journey as well as how they deal with each other, society, their families, the sports world and in turn how they deal with them.

The flawless writing and the amount of effortless humor made this story even more amazing, I genuinely want these two characters to come to life so I can be their friend and hug them. No unnecessary drama, lots of laughter, lots of hot sex yes, that’s another bonus and lots of feels! OMG THE FEELS! So many feels, this book… READ IT! SERIOUSLY! Plus, there’s another one coming and I need it. Yesterday. Please and thank you!
