The Sunday Post is a weekly recap meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

N E W S

Hello my lovelies! I’m still here which is shocking after the week I had. I mentioned last Sunday that I’m changing web hosts so the blog might be down for a little while, luckily that has yet to happen, I started the process on Wednesday morning and it will be completed on Monday so if I do experience any down time it’ll be on Monday. I honestly didn’t know how much work switching web hosts required. After a year of operating under my own domain, I’m still learning things, like for example how welcoming and nice my web host was last year when I bought their hosting package and how hostile they were this week as soon as they realized I was going away. And I get it(❔), I mean no one wants to lose customers but that treatment certainly won’t make me want to go back in the future. It all started when I asked for my authorization code (EPP) which is essential to initiate the process, let’s just say that the representative was not on board with my decision. But long story short, all is well even if I got so spammed this week on the blog, like never before! Countless spam comments just kept coming; it has been a crazy week and for once, I’m looking forward to Monday!

Or maybe Tuesday because we’ve had the worst heat wave of the last few decades, I even had to change my refrigerator’s setting to a lower temperature since everything started melting due to excessive usage and high temperature since our highest was 45°C, way too hot to even think. I miss winter ❄

As you can tell, since I was in the process of backing up my blog, I didn’t post much other than the scheduled posts.

Finally reviewed Now I Rise which was as expected brilliant on every level and if you still haven’t read And I Darken then honestly I don’t know what to tell you but I can give you 12 reasons to read it.

In case you don’t know this incredible artist, her newest song just released and it’s a work of art, her every song is a work of art. If you’re not familiar with her work this is one of my favourite instrumental songs…  ??

That’s it for now, have a lovely week and if I’m down, find me on twittergoodreadsinstagram ?

  1. Wow, your webhost people sound like jerks. People leave companies like that all the time. It’s not like that one worker is going to be affected by it. Hopefully it’ll go well though! And yeah, the other week I got like 90 spam comments in three hours? But then it stopped and went back to normal levels lol.

    1. I hope it goes smoothly but I’m expecting the worst to be honest, I was really surprised myself and I’m pretty sure I’m getting spammed because I’m switching, it’s been insane I’ve never gotten so many spam comments. Have a great week!

  2. Hey, that’s fantastic your move is going great so far!! They are kind of scary at first but honestly, if everything is caught and one right, it CAN go smoothly. I’ve done it a few times myself 🙂 You’ll be soooo smart for doing it yourself!! Next time you do it, you’ll be moving the files for yourself 😉

    Good Luck!!!

  3. Wow that is hot! And sorry to hear your hosting company decided to be jerks about things! Ugh internet stuff. Good luck with the switch over and hopefully it doesn’t get too frustrating. 🙂

  4. Well, its Monday and I am visiting, so it seems all is well so far! Sucks that the old host is being a jerk. Sometimes they don’t understand how business works!!
I just got back from Europe and they were having the worst heat wave ever. It was 95 degrees F in London, then 100 when we got to Paris. In the US, we are used to those kind of temps. We also have air conditioning EVERYWHERE! Seriously, you don’t have to walk further than your car to whatever you are heading towards and there is AC waiting for you. But, AC is not as popular in the parts of northern Europe we visited. It was HOT!
Hope the final move from hosts is smooth and easy! Have a great week!

    1. You visited during our worst heat wave in decades (for Greece at least), but it’s such a pleasant weather now, we’re back to normal! They were kinda awful but everything went by smoothly after that and now I’m officially moved 🙌

  5. So lame that your (current/previous?) host was being so lame about the switchover. Like you said, if you were ever going to consider coming back that kind of treatment might just change your mind. Ugh.

I had to go do the temp conversion since 45C doesn’t mean much to me. But OMG 113F certainly does! That is crazy hot! Is that typical for your summers? I just heard on the radio that today is our hottest of the year so far – 97F (36C). Plus the humidity is awful so it feels even hotter than it is. My plan is to stay inside as much as possible. There are loads of outdoor events today (4th of July/Independence Day national holiday) but I just can’t tolerate the heat.

Hope your week is off to a good start, my friend!

    1. They were awful, Tanya! I’m never going back that’s for sure. My new host seems great so far, very helpful and way cheaper than the previous one. We had the worst heat wave in decades but it’s back to normal now, the highest is probably 100°F during the summer, I don’t know if that’s too hot for you guys but I’ll take it over 113 😂

  6. And I Darken has been on my radar for ages now. Once I make my way through my already massive pile of TBR books, I’ll be adding that to my TO BUY list, for sure!

Found ya through my blog hop, by the way. 🙂 Beautiful blog!
