The Sunday Post is a weekly recap meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Hello lovely people!  I’ve been MIA lately mostly due to all the ARCs which I had to binge read; that’s what I get for requesting nonestop.

I had 10 ARCs on my Kindle these past two weeks and more than half of those were due soon, I still have a lot of books that are not due till 2017 but when THE BOOK arrives, I just drop everything.

Aaaaand it’s been officially a month with this little guy – who is now starting to sort of sing and that part I could have done without for a bit longer, goodbye sleep, it was nice knowing you!

Kristin talks about realistic fiction and why she doesn’t read it.  Ashley wonders if you need to like the characters in a book in order to enjoy it. Eva talks about ARC greed *nods*. And Molly talks about strong female characters ? – also, she has a brand new bookish shop you need to check out!

cityofstrangersCity of Strangers was originally rated with 4 stars but I changed my rating to 5 which I almost never do but ever since I read this, it’s been on my mind, I cannot let go of these characters and the story and I just love this so much I can’t stop raving about this book!

Grace returns home with he new husband from their honeymoon, to find a dead man inside her apartment, next to her unwrapped wedding gifts, that the police can’t identify.

AND I DARKEN SEQUEL HAS A COVER AND A TITLE AND I’M DEAD, I’M SO FREAKING DEAD!!! If you haven’t read this, here’s 12 reasons why you should! *goes away to die in peace*

*looks around* I think I’m done! Now I’ve got a few books calling…

  1. Good job on getting some ARCs read! I’m always requesting too many, so I understand getting bogged down.

I love your little birdy! I’ve always thought about getting a bird, but I had a trashy relative who always had birds so my opinions of them are a bit skewed. Who knows if the birds were to be faulted for their smell and mess or the relative who wasn’t providing proper care.

Hope you have a great week!

    1. Thank you, I’ve been busy! Oh no, well, poor things can’t really be faulted for any mess, they’re in a cage and all and I do a little routine clean up every day so, so far I haven’t noticed any smells, plus I clean their cage with chamomile – mostly to disinfect as per vet’s orders – so it’s been rather nice.

    1. Hahaha, I know what you mean, but you can never have too many bookish stuff right? Awww so cute! Mine is a baby so he’s just now starting to demand attention and it was cute at first but now it’s like he doesn’t care that I’m a book person and when he sleeps I read so when he’s awake I’m sleeping, so rude LOL!

  2. Aw cute bird! I’d kinda like to have a bird, although the chirping might get to me… and I have three cats, so maybe not a good idea. 🙂 Still I think they’e cute and would be fun! What did you name him?

Yes about book blurb questions! I have noticed that, and great idea for a post! So true lol they give away the plot half the time… and that’s a nice cover for Now I Rise.

  3. I LOVE THE COVER FOR AND I RISE. I NEED IT IMMEDIATELY AHHH!!? *wishes desperately for 2017* ? And aww, your bird is super cute! My dad feeds the native birds in our area so we always have a veranda full of lorikeets and kookaburras. It’s quite cool!! (And they leave such a mess omg…) Good luck with the ARCs! I’m sooo behind on mine. I’m basically in denial about them haha. Ahem.

Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
