The Sunday Post is a weekly recap meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Well hello there lovely people, Happy Easter!

I haven’t done this in almost a month due to workload before Easter; for those of you who don’t know, I’m a teacher and before Easter/spring break it gets hectic but I’m already on my second week of spring break and I am beyond relaxed, it’s incredible how little free time I need to relax completely.

In a week I’ve already done way more stuff than I expected to do. I did a major blog clean up and I finally categorized my reviews by title, author and rating and I’m working on updating my recommendations page. Plus I did some overall clean up like tags, widgets and those reviews that were just embarrassingly non-review-ish.

I’ve been reading a lot and binge watching a lot, also going to the movies; I read The Handmaid’s Tale and I’m working on my review, it completely blew me away. I binged 13 Reasons Why and I’m writing a post on it. Also, I might do a mini movie review of all the movies I’ve seen these couple of week – the most disappointing being Beauty and the Beast and my absolute favorite Get Out.

That’s a lot of stuff to do on spring break..

Goodbye Paradise by Sarina Bowen

Beauty of the Beast by Rachel L. Demeter

I have 3 ARCs I’ll be reading while on vacation but after The Handmaid’s Tale I’m in a bit of a reading slump, that book was not what I expected – I’m probably the only person who didn’t know what it was about.

Okay, so I’m a huge 1D fan and Harry Styles’ new single Sign of the Times has been playing on my Spotify non stop since its release. Along with Hamilton because it’s me, duh! #BoyBandsForLife

That’s it! I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday, celebrate it and have a great rest of spring break ♥

  1. Glad to hear that you’re enjoying your break, Kei. I’m curious about Goodbye Paradise. It sounds like a great MM romance. I hope you’re enjoying the book you’re currently reading and the ones you’re planning to read this week. Have a great week. ?

  2. Enjoy your break, and I like your new blog look!

    I’ve been binge-watching 13 Reasons Why.

The Handmaid’s Tale is a book I loved…and read it twice; I also saw the movie. There is a new show coming on Hulu based on the book.

Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

  3. I loved the Handmaid’s Tale, but it is a tough, emotional book to stomach, especially if you don’t know what’s coming.
Happy Easter weekend though, and have a great week 🙂

  4. You get two weeks for spring break? Here we only get one! (Not that it matters for me anymore since I’m not in school and don’t work in education lol.) Oh hey, we both did some blog cleanup this week! Feels good when things are more organized, right?

Sorry you didn’t like Beauty and the Beast. To be honest, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be that great to me, so I never did get as excited as everyone else.

    1. Only because school is out for two weeks otherwise it’d be a three day weekend or a week depending on the job. I deleted almost 10 pages of tags and more than 20 reviews since most of them were series reviews I combined into one single post instead of book after book. It certainly made the blog load faster, widgets and stuff too. It’s nice to get rid of stuff that is slowing it down. I wasn’t that excited about the movie but still I was ready to walk out 30′ in. So bad. Unlike Get Out which I loved!

  5. Happy Easter! Can’t wait to see your 13 Reasons Why post as I just finished it and loved it. Lots to talk about w/ that one. And I am sooo overdue for a blog clean up.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your spring break!!

  7. Sounds like you got a lot done on your blog, that’s awesome! And that’s nice you read and watched so many movies. I haven’t seen any of those you mentioned here. I sometimes do reviews for movies, but very rarely. I think I’ve done only two in total. I hope this was a good week!
