The Sunday Post is a weekly recap meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Well hello there, I unpacked my summer wardrobe a few days ago which means it’s officially summer now! What a week, so many things happening in the world but also for me not really because my ghost is typing this since I went to see Infinity War and I’m dead, so there’s that. This is the mother of all dragons sequels and I don’t think I will recover any time soon, so highly recommended but obviously if you haven’t watched any Marvel movies before I don’t know how much of it will make sense.

Last week I had the brilliant idea to go and edit my GR shelves, it took me two days but I finally managed to go through them and clean up, edit and re-organize my books and it feels so good to have them all re-organized because I was one of those who had stupid shelves depending on my mood whenever I wrote a review, named meh and blah and OMG so now everything is dare I say more professional and easy to navigate.

In other random life news, I don’t know if anyone else is bad at drinking water during the day especially during the summer but I forget about it so for the past two weeks I’ve been using this app that tells you how much water you should be drinking a day and it reminds you to drink which is awesome and exhausting at the same time to stay hydrated but it works!

In case I haven’t mentioned it enough, YOU NEED TO READ SKY IN THE DEEP because honestly we need more books like it. I read and reviewed The Boy and His Ribbon and Ready Player One and talked about book I can’t re-read again!

I’m on the second book of the Crazy Rich Asians series, not gonna lie I did enjoy the first one more but I’m still looking entertained by these characters!

I’m down to three ARCs on NetGalley – which updated their review and feedback platform so now you can just not read a book and that’s so freaking awesome (because sometimes, THERE’S NOT EVEN A FILE TO DOWNLOAD NETGALLEY WTF) so there’s that.

The Crazy Rich Asians trailer is out and it looks amazing, so much so that it made me go read the book and it was so good! Dear White People Season 2 is coming and Strangers Things Season 3, honestly, what did we do to deserve Netflix?

A quote from Crazy Rich Asians that made me LOL like crazy:

  1. I’m going to watch Infinity War on Wednesday and I can’t wait! And I’m so bad when it comes to drinking water, so I’m definitely going to give that water app a go, thanks for the heads up!

  2. I was so excited about the Netgalley updates! Now I can mark a book as DNF! That was always my biggest struggle. Books sat on my shelf forever because I couldn’t get into them and thought perhaps I would try again later. So thankfully now I can just mark it as DNF and move on!
Hope you have a great week!

  3. I have only submitted one review since the NG update, and I noticed they split the feedback page, but I have yet to utilize no submitting a review. I remember once I got approved not the day they archived the book. That was super frustrating. I also liked Crazy Rich Asians better then China Rich Girlfriend, though I am intrigued by the ending, and looking forward to reading book 3 and seeing the movie!!!!

  4. I haven’t paid much attention to the Netgalley updates yet so it sounds like I need to go back and look around. I like the idea that you can now DNF a book though. I have a few that have been sitting on my shelf forever — I keep trying to read them but they’re just not for me. At least now I can get rid of them once and for all, lol.

  5. I need to re-do my Goodreads shelves one day. I made them when I didn’t think as much about categories and all that so it’s basically a hot mess lol

I got the email from Netgalley but haven’t checked out the updates yet. I have a book coming up this month so I guess I’ll see then. It sounds like a good improvement anyway.

  6. I still need to see the new Avengers move!

You should try kickboxing! I’ve been drinking a TON of water during the day since I started. It’s like I’m unable to fully quench my thirst.

I recently updated my shelves on Goodreads, too! I haven’t really looked into the NetGalley email, but I plan on doing that soon as well.

  7. I’m still emotionally compromised by Infinity War. I just… Can’t even… Nope. Just nope.

I’m so jealous you have summer clothes out! The weather where I am has been wet, cold and miserable which followed snow in MArch/April. I think we’ve had about three days of warmish weather since last autumn, no joke. 🙁
However, it’s supposed to be nice this weekend, so fingers crossed!!

  8. Over here it totally feels like summer too 🙂 three ARCs on NetGalley sounds awesome! I actually still have too many xD and yeah, it’s really cool that they’ve added that bit where you don’t have to read it if there’s problems or something. Before that I’d just send feedback that I’m not going to read it, but that would leave me in a tough place regarding the review.
